Community Health Representative (CHR)

Status: One Full Time
Reporting to: Health Director, Mt. Currie Health Centre
Salary: Dependant upon experience

Working on behalf of the Mount Currie Health Centre the CHR, in conjunction with other health professionals, coordinates the support of health programs in response to the needs of the community. The Community Health Representative will inform community members of the proper channels of health services to ensure quality services for their families; promote and provide information on health, nutrition, sanitation, hygiene, diseases, and lifestyle; promote and encourage community links by incorporating social activities within prevention strategies; and support the community and maternal child health programs including assisting with baby immunization clinics.

Qualifications:

• Degree/diploma in related field and/or equivalent work experience
• Excellent relationship building and communication skills
• Demonstrated commitment to individual and community health
