Administrative Assistant to Carl Smith/ Fleet & Equipment Manager and Troy Bikadi/ CRI Silviculture

Wage: Dependant upon Experience

Creekside Resources is pleased to announce the opportunity for an administrative assistant to aid in the operation of two departments. We are the corporate entity and business arm of the Mt. Currie Band and we operate 4 current businesses specializing in construction, silviculture, and fleet management.

This position involves supplying administrative/clerical services to the two divisions within Creekside Resources Inc. As such it is expected that the work will be equally divided between the Fleet Services and CRI Silviculture/Civil construction works. This is a key position in terms of relieving both managers of the administrative work on a daily basis and providing the expertise to ensure for an efficient, professionally run office. Decisiveness and a high level of maturity are key assets for this position as work, for the most part, is conducted independently with little supervision. Prior experiences and proficient knowledge in bookkeeping is preferred in a candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • This position involves providing administrative support for senior managers of both the Fleet Services department as well as the Silviculture department under Creekside Resources.
  • Perform bookkeeping duties and ensure that contract requirements are fulfilled, suppliers are paid in a timely manner, and invoices are sent out.
  • Tracking of expenditures and Assist with Invoicing, letter writing and filing
  • Answer general inquiries in a professional courteous manner
  • Maintain an office filing system and/or computer programs for all forms, applications policies etc.
  • Perform other duties as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Highly organized, detail oriented, and thorough
  • Post-secondary education
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Bookkeeping skills with knowledge of QuickBooks, Simply Accounting, or other similar software
  • Ability to work independently for long periods of time with little to no supervision
  • Filing Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook a must (Microsoft Project and Access desirable but not necessary)
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Willing to learn
  • Able to work with little supervision
