Accounts Payable Clerk

Reporting to: Financial Controller
Contract: Full time Permanent Contract (35 hours per week)

The Finance & Accounting Department is a service department to the Mount Currie Band and related Business Corporations. We provide full-cycle accounting services, including payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger and planning and control functions. Our objective is to assist senior management, managers, and the Board of Directors by providing them with the information required to make timely and informed decisions.

The finance & accounting department is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to expand its team to meet the growing workload. We are looking for a hard working individual who has a great attention to detail and is able to work under pressure. This position is responsible for paying invoices of suppliers from all departments in the organization, interacting with vendors and taking steps to ensure for prompt payment and providing information to the assistant controller for follow up or as needed. The ideal candidate has 2 years of accounting experience, an accounting level 1 certificate and experience with AccPac or similar accounting software.
